It is scheduled for Sunday, November 12th from 10 am - 1 pm at CSI.

Scholarship Opportunity for Jewish Women at Weslyan College

 

There is an extraordinary scholarship opportunity for a female student who is a member of one of Georgia's Jewish congregations to receive a generous scholarship to attend Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. Wesleyan College was the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women, and since 1836, Wesleyan has been committed to women's education and helping every student find a unique voice and purpose, providing students an academically challenging and relevant liberal arts education. Their diverse, inclusive community encourages creativity, innovation, and leadership so all graduates are prepared to thrive in a complex world.

 

Thanks to a generous donor, they will be able to offer one qualified student who enters in Fall 2022 a full tuition scholarship plus room and board. Qualifications are as follows:
• Must be a resident of Georgia who is Jewish
• Must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (HOPE eligible)
• Must retain HOPE eligibility to maintain the full scholarship in subsequent years
• Student is responsible for Wesleyan fees and additional lab/course fees
• The award is for fall-spring, maximum four years (8 semesters)

 

If you know of a qualified student, please encourage her to apply to Wesleyan College using either
the free online application or the Common Application, and indicate her religious affiliation as
Jewish.

She must apply and be accepted by February 14, 2022 in order to be invited to compete for the scholarship at our annual Scholarship Day on February 19, 2022.
