Ten Israeli firefighters joined teams in California to help battle fast-growing wildfires that have forced mass evacuations. Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund of San Francisco, the Peninsula,Marin & Sonoma Counties, Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region and the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland are raising funds to help the victims.
