This year has started out on quite a high note at Hillel at UGA. The staff in Athens made it a priority to find more student leaders for it’s newly formatted Executive Board to help reach and engage more Jewish students on campus. Hillel went from seven student leaders last semester to twenty-one!
This past weekend the board and staff completed their new student board orientation. They covered topics ranging from intentionality with everything they do, to Jewish Learning, to Programming and Engagement tactics, all the way to goal setting and the creation of a Brit for the board. As a team building exercise, the board split itself into two groups and participated in an escape room. Both teams were able to “escape” with plenty of time to spare.
Hillel at UGA is consistently looking at ways to improve how it engages students. With its new executive board in place, Hillel at UGA is equipped to reach the almost 650 person student body and continue to strengthen the Hillel community in Athens.
